E for the Elderly
Low levels of Vitamin E can lead to physical problems.
Low levels of Vitamin E can mean bad news for seniors.
In a recent issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association, Yale researchers reported that a low concentration of vitamin E in blood was linked to physical decline in seniors. This finding was based on a three-year study of 698 people ages 65 and older using an objective test of three tasks: walking speed, rising repeatedly from a chair, and standing balance.
